Alberto Cherubini's late challenge caught a Porporana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Cherubini helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute Antonio Del Vecchio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Luciani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Porporana's Anfilogino Pietrini got a free kick in the 18th minute. Aurelio Campana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Luciani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Pace, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Antonio Del Vecchio came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Porporana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Del Vecchio couldn't finish the play. When Porporana's Anfilogino Pace in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Milazzo's goalie prevented a goal. Bruno Luciani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anfilogino Pace went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Aurelio Campana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Luciani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Pace in the 37th minute of the match. Armando De Lellis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Campana in the 39th minute of play. Armando De Lellis made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Aurelio Campana sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute, Anfilogino Pace made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Luciani. Atletico Milazzo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Campana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Comunardo Mazzola charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Comunardo Mazzola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Porporana's Comunardo Mazzola got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 53 minutes of play Porporana's Comunardo Mazzola was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Comunardo Mazzola hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Antonio Del Vecchio scored 0-3 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Luciani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arturo Pozzoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Luciani having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Antonio Del Vecchio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Luciani. Atletico Milazzo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Del Vecchio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Atletico Milazzo's Bruno Luciani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Atletico Milazzo from getting a goal against them. Armando De Lellis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Campana in the 83rd minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Arturo Pozzoli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porporana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Milazzo the free kick. After 90 played minutes Porporana got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Pozzoli. Antonio Del Vecchio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 94 minutes into the match, Atletico Milazzo's goalkeeper Bruno Luciani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Del Vecchio. The Porporana players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
