After 41 played minutes LaMafiaDellArdo FC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Pelati. 43 minutes into the match, Edmondo Formica had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corrado Taranto. LaMafiaDellArdo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmondo Formica was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half pulcinaia were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberigo Cipriani to strike the kick off in the second half. Edmondo Formica struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Corrado Taranto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for pulcinaia. Corrado Taranto was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Edmondo Formica capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edmondo Formica really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Alberigo Giammaria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Moretti in the 59th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Cipriani couldn't finish the play. Corrado Taranto made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Ciro Cavallaro sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Flavio Rulli managed to get in a good position for a shot. LaMafiaDellArdo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Rulli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Giammaria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched pulcinaia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
