In the 25th minute of the match Donato Donadoni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Contaldi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Miroslav Klose's late challenge caught a Carpiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miroslav Klose helped the player get up and apologised. Emilio Ceci kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Miroslav Klose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felice Granati was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miroslav Klose showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donato Sangermano during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Mo Scapuocchij got a freekick which was hit by Donato Sangermano. After 54 minutes, Eraldo Russi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carpiano and the Mo Scapuocchij players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Carpiano's zone, Miroslav Klose stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felice Granati came out of the goal and Miroslav Klose tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ciro Di Loreto fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carpiano's protests and gave Ciro Di Loreto a yellow card for diving instead. Eraldo Ferri was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 72nd minute of play forced Carpiano's goalkeeper Felice Granati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armin Porreca made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mo Scapuocchij's Bruno Talamo. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ciro Di Loreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Di Loreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Contaldi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donato Sangermano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice Granati having to interfere. Mo Scapuocchij's Donato Sangermano pulled a muscle in his leg after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 85th match minute, Carpiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Di Lello to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Ceci struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Felice Granati didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mo Scapuocchij. A collision led to Mo Scapuocchij getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Emilio Ceci hit a great ball. When Donato Donadoni came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Carpiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Donadoni couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
