In the 15th minute, Dave Cara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amedeo De Vecchis. The goal made the score 1-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Dennis Bonanni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tessello's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Bonanni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amerigo Bellisario's late challenge caught a Ancona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amerigo Bellisario helped the player get up and apologised. Amerigo Bellisario hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Amedeo De Vecchis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Spitaleri in the 95th minute of play. The Ancona fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tessello were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
