Bruno Zangari started the match with the kick off. When Beppe Riccardi fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riccardo & Erika's protests and gave Beppe Riccardi a yellow card for diving instead. Beppe Riccardi hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Santa Nicola's Elia Rocchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Oddi in the 5th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Riccardo & Erika got a freekick which was hit by Biagio Vani. Eraldo Collovati hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Anthony Oddi made a precise shot to the right of Elia Rocchetti. Santa Nicola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bruno Zangari might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrizio Zoff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Zangari ran back to his position shaking his head. Florian Masi kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Santa Nicola's Elia Rocchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Galliani in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Riccardo & Erika's Fabrizio Zoff got control of the ball when Bruno Zangari tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Beppe Riccardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 30 in the game by Amedeo Di Rado from a close distance when the talented Fabrizio Zoff managed to make a qualified save. Riccardo & Erika's players were relieved. A collision led to Riccardo & Erika getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Antonello Walcher hit a great ball. Bruno Zangari struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Fabrizio Zoff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Nicola. In the 35th minute Beppe Riccardi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elia Rocchetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elia Rocchetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Riccardi in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Santa Nicola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Giusto to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes Riccardo & Erika got a freekick which was hit by Biagio Vani.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beppe Riccardi to strike the kick off in the second half. If Bruno Zangari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elia Rocchetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Oddi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santa Nicola's Dino Macchia managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felice Galliani in the 60 minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Anthony Oddi took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Elia Rocchetti to make any attempt to save it. In the 72nd minute Anthony Oddi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elia Rocchetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Beppe Riccardi could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Elia Rocchetti however easily saved by the left post. Biagio Vani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elia Rocchetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felice Galliani, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some careless play in the Santa Nicola defense, Anthony Oddi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elia Rocchetti. The Santa Nicola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elia Rocchetti should have stopped the shot. Amedeo Di Rado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Fabrizio Zoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Antonello Walcher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Riccardo & Erika eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
