Trapani's Anfilogino Nola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristoforo Contestabile in the 9th minute of play. A C Sciacca's attack was well implemented in the 11th minute, but when Dennis Fava was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 12th minute, Ernesto Domina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Bellucci charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franco Bellucci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of A C Sciacca booed when Trapani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Bellucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Dennis Fava's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anfilogino Nola was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. If Cristoforo Contestabile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute, Dennis Fava ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anfilogino Nola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Florian Petroni put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Anfilogino Nola. In the 41st minute, Cristoforo Contestabile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Domenico Rocchi came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the A C Sciacca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Rocchi couldn't finish the play. After 46th play minutes Dennis Fava shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Anfilogino Nola and just under the crossbar into goal. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dennis Fava took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anfilogino Nola. Anfilogino Nola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Cristoforo Contestabile recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 played minutes Trapani got a freekick which was hit by Franco Bellucci. After 64 minutes, Dennis Fava made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Trapani's Anfilogino Nola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Domenico Rocchi came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the A C Sciacca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Rocchi couldn't finish the play. In the 69th match minute, Trapani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Domina to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Ernesto Domina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trapani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A C Sciacca the free kick. Ernesto Domina kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Fava in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anfilogino Nola saved Trapani from getting behind. Amerigo Leone kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Jan-Åke Kjellqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anfilogino Nola. Trapani's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
