Enzo Melfi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes of play, FC SOLOTHURN's Gheorghe Hagi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florian Coscia was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC SOLOTHURN getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Corrado Berardi hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes, PARMA's Alberigo Saturno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Josué Macedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PARMA reached it. With a little luck, PARMA's Florian Coscia got control of the ball when Jacob Madruga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Anfilogino Sasso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florian Coscia. PARMA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anfilogino Sasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC SOLOTHURN fully deserved thier win.
