When Muppet FC's Eraldo Verdini in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ceresāo's goalie prevented a goal. 9 minutes into the match, Eraldo Verdini notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ceresāo's Emanuele Aversano. Emanuele Aversano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 14 minutes of play, Muppet FC's Donato Corelli made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuele Aversano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eraldo Verdini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuele Aversano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Verdini in the 18th minute of play. Eraldo Verdini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuele Aversano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Eraldo Verdini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Donato Corelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muppet FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Punta in the 26th minute of play forced Ceresāo's goalkeeper Emanuele Aversano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuele Aversano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Corelli in the 31st minute of play. Pello Clemente struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Emanuele Aversano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muppet FC. 38 minutes into the match, Muppet FC's Eraldo Verdini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuele Aversano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Muppet FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Ceresāo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dario Latini took the corner. Emanuele Aversano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Corelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Eraldo Verdini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Donato Corelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Aversano having to interfere. Emanuele Aversano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Verdini in the 55th minute of the match. Ceresāo's Emanuele Aversano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Verdini in the 60th minute of play. Donato Corelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuele Aversano having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Changeez Zeballos in the 63rd minute of play forced Muppet FC's goalkeeper Felice Coccolone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muppet FC's Donato Corelli got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Giorda charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Giorda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Muppet FC booed when Ceresāo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Giorda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Muppet FC's Anfilogino Morelli got a free kick in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eraldo Verdini in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuele Aversano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Changeez Zeballos hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Emanuele Aversano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Punta, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Eraldo Verdini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emanuele Aversano. Eraldo Verdini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. When the final whistle sounded Muppet FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ceresāo.
