When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Behçet Alp took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alessandro Giovannelli to make any attempt to save it. Demetrio Berardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Sivieri in the 19th minute of play. Demetrio Berardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Sivieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Comunardo Sivieri in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Demetrio Berardo saved Farafulla FC from getting behind. A collision led to Farafulla FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Angelo Albani hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elia Iob during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for cotone fc! When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Farafulla FC's Andriy Shevchenko got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alessandro Giovannelli. In the 44th minute Adalmo Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Giovannelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Farafulla FC were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after cotone fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ryan Portanares took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Campbell in the 54th minute of play forced cotone fc's goalkeeper Alessandro Giovannelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Giovannelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andriy Shevchenko in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match, Arrigo Di Girolamo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Demetrio Berardo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alessandro Giovannelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ryan Portanares's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Ryan Portanares sped through cotone fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alessandro Giovannelli. Alessandro Giovannelli came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Farafulla FC's Ryan Portanares. But to his dismay, Ryan Portanares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Andriy Shevchenko might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alessandro Giovannelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andriy Shevchenko ran back to his position shaking his head. Alessandro Giovannelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Portanares, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute, Andriy Shevchenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alessandro Giovannelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. cotone fc's Alessandro Giovannelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Portanares in the 89th minute of play. Alessandro Giovannelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryan Portanares went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Ryan Portanares might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alessandro Giovannelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryan Portanares ran back to his position shaking his head. Farafulla FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
