After having played for 14 minutes, Antonello Corleone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fuegos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Corleone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gert Jan Knopper took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amerigo Lupi. Amerigo Lupi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Gert Jan Knopper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Amerigo Lupi made a huge save. Gert Jan Knopper did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Amerigo Lupi 29 minutes into the match. The supporters of Saima FC booed when fuegos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Gava didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amerigo Lupi stood somewhat misplaced when Antonello Corleone came free in front of goal and shot 5-0 to the left of him in the 35 minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Antonello Corleone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fuegos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Corleone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saima FC's Amerigo Lupi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonello Corleone in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

fuegos made a substitution. Damiano Bottega replaced Demetrio Munno. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gert Jan Knopper was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Antonello Corleone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Amerigo Lupi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Antonello Corleone managed to get in a good position for a shot. fuegos's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Corleone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amerigo Lupi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amerigo Lupi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert Jan Knopper in the 60th minute of play. After some careless play in the Saima FC defense, Antonello Corleone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amerigo Lupi. The Saima FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amerigo Lupi should have stopped the shot. Antonello Corleone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Amerigo Lupi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amerigo Lupi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert Jan Knopper in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Saima FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo De Lorenzi to maneuver through the defense. If Antonello Corleone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amerigo Lupi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonello Corleone's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Gert Jan Knopper put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Amerigo Lupi. Amerigo Lupi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gert Jan Knopper went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. fuegos fully deserved thier win.
