Virgiliana's Iban Vallejo got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Rampante Balocco's zone, Jesus Araoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Basile came out of the goal and Jesus Araoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Oroni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Lalli, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, Jesus Araoz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Anthony Basile was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute of the match Domenico Rotondi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anthony Basile showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emiliano Di Loreto hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Iban Vallejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adriano Polmone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Basile having to interfere. When Alberigo Iachini came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Virgiliana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Iachini couldn't finish the play. Iban Vallejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Anthony Basile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Rampante Balocco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Ceci to maneuver through the defense. Rampante Balocco's Anthony Basile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iban Vallejo in the 46th minute of play. Iban Vallejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Iban Vallejo made the kick off in the second half. Anthony Di Iorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Oroni having to interfere. After 53 played minutes Virgiliana got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Araoz. Ernesto Oroni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Di Iorio in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Anthony Di Iorio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rampante Balocco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 61 minutes into the game, Iban Vallejo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Anthony Basile was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Virgiliana were furious when Miguel Calado was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Virgiliana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! With a little luck, Rampante Balocco's Anthony Basile got control of the ball when Iban Vallejo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anthony Basile didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iban Vallejo went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-6 was the resulting score. Iban Vallejo struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Anthony Basile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virgiliana. Virgiliana's Iban Vallejo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Domenico Rotondi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgiliana's Jesus Araoz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fedele Aloisi in the 86 minute of the game. Iban Vallejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Iban Vallejo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anthony Basile was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-8. A hard shot 92 in the game by Iban Vallejo from a close distance when the talented Anthony Basile managed to make a qualified save. Rampante Balocco's players were relieved. Iban Vallejo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Anthony Basile when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match was over Virgiliana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rampante Balocco throughout the match.
