After a defensive mix-up in Vash the Stampede's zone, Emanuele Giardino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carter Vitale came out of the goal and Emanuele Giardino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alberto Mingione came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Vash the Stampede fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Mingione couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vash the Stampede booed when Rosso Gialli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Scalabrino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosso Gialli FC's Achille Iacobucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Cordone in the 34th minute of play. Arturo Trinca hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Achille Iacobucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Mingione, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Mingione scored 0-4 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Achille Iacobucci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Mingione to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Rosso Gialli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Mingione came free, but Achille Iacobucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Rosso Gialli FC's Achille Iacobucci got control of the ball when Tiberiu Balint tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Vash the Stampede's Alberto Mingione nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Achille Iacobucci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Alberto Mingione took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Achille Iacobucci to make any attempt to save it. In the 75thth minute of the game Alberto Mingione who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosso Gialli FC's Achille Iacobucci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Alberto Mingione's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Achille Iacobucci was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 80 minutes into the match, Vash the Stampede's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Giusti came free, but Carter Vitale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 minutes, Ciccio Mangione mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosso Gialli FC and the Vash the Stampede players grew even worse after the yellow card. 86 minutes into the game, one of Rosso Gialli FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Emanuele Giardino kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Cordone got free with Achille Iacobucci in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vash the Stampede's Alex Cordone got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vash the Stampede eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
