In the 8th minute, A.c Tre dei Frati's Ferruccio Mori ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberigo Iezzi. Alberigo Iezzi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, SSC Napoli's Alberigo Iezzi got control of the ball when Tomasz Piszczor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberigo Iezzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomasz Piszczor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of A.c Tre dei Frati booed when SSC Napoli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Battisti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferruccio Mori was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 16th minute Emanuele Capaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberigo Iezzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferdinando Martini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alberigo Iezzi. That made the score 4-0 in the 22 minute of play. The supporters of SSC Napoli booed when A.c Tre dei Frati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hendrik Kask didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Eraldo Bizzarri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pico Bădila skillfully saved the ball. In the 26th minute Tomasz Piszczor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberigo Iezzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, SSC Napoli's goalkeeper Alberigo Iezzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinando Martini. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdinando Martini got free with Alberigo Iezzi in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Alberigo Iezzi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ferdinando Martini scored 7-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberigo Iezzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emanuele Battisti hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SSC Napoli's zone, Ferruccio Mori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberigo Iezzi came out of the goal and Ferruccio Mori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Campitelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the SSC Napoli defense, Emanuele Capaldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberigo Iezzi. The SSC Napoli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberigo Iezzi should have stopped the shot. Alberigo Iezzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomasz Piszczor, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. SSC Napoli's Alberigo Iezzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Martini in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Tomasz Piszczor made a precise shot to the right of Alberigo Iezzi. SSC Napoli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Alberigo Iezzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferruccio Mori went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Ferruccio Mori put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alberigo Iezzi. In the 71st minute, Ferruccio Mori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberigo Iezzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. Ferdinando Martini scored 14-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberigo Iezzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SSC Napoli's Alberigo Iezzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Martini in the 85th minute of play. Ferdinando Martini took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberigo Iezzi. Alberigo Iezzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 16-0. Alberigo Iezzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Piszczor in the 90th minute of play. Alberigo Iezzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando Martini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Emanuele Capaldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberigo Iezzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 17-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A.c Tre dei Frati fully deserved thier win.
