A collision led to DIEGO FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Angelo Ferretti hit a great ball. After 12 minutes DIEGO FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Franco Guerra who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Novara AFC GOOOOOAL's corner Franco Guerra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felice Melis quite easily take care of the ball. With 16 minutes on the clock, Ennio Rotolo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, DIEGO FC's Ennio Rotolo got a free kick in the 17th minute. The supporters of Novara AFC GOOOOOAL booed when DIEGO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Montanari didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Novara AFC GOOOOOAL got a freekick which was hit by Filippo Pinti. 23 minutes into the match, Novara AFC GOOOOOAL's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Riccitelli came free, but Anselmo Di Mario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corrado Carlini couldn't finish the play. Anselmo Di Mario was a little too slow when Alexander Armellini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. Novara AFC GOOOOOAL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Alexander Armellini scored to the left of an out of position Anselmo Di Mario, making the score, 2-0. Felice Melis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corrado Carlini, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Corrado Carlini hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Alberto Riccitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Di Mario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Riccitelli was the one to do the kick off. After 57th play minutes Alexander Armellini shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Anselmo Di Mario and just under the crossbar into goal. 59 minutes into the game, Edoardo Zara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anselmo Di Mario didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Riccitelli went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the game, DIEGO FC's Aurelio Clemente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Di Mario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Clemente in the 79th minute of play forced Novara AFC GOOOOOAL's goalkeeper Anselmo Di Mario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Novara AFC GOOOOOAL's Franco Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
