Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Parente in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ercole Serantoni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Real Aquino fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Real Aquino's Augusto Parente looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 10 minutes into the match, Reggina Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Simeoni came free, but Ercole Serantoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reggina Calcio's Ercole Serantoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Santarelli in the 11th minute of play. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ferruccio Leoni sped through Real Aquino's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diego Kimetz. Reggina Calcio's Ercole Serantoni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Reggina Calcio from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Parente got free with Ercole Serantoni in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ercole Serantoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrizio Placidi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The attack was good, but when Ferruccio Leoni in the 25th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 27 minutes, Fabrizio Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reggina Calcio and the Real Aquino players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Real Aquino booed when Reggina Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ercole Serantoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrizio Placidi in the 28th minute of play. Daniele Aversano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Diego Kimetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ercole Serantoni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabrizio Placidi's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Daniele Aversano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute, Fabrizio Mariano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Reggina Calcio's Ferruccio Leoni was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ercole Serantoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Parente, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 72nd minute, Ferruccio Leoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Reggina Calcio's Ferruccio Leoni dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Diego Kimetz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Mariano in the 81st minute of the match. Dan Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 86 played minutes, Real Aquino's Raúl Penha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ercole Serantoni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Aquino reached it. Ercole Serantoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Placidi in the 88th minute of the match. Ercole Serantoni came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Real Aquino's Augusto Parente. But to his dismay, Augusto Parente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 95th match minute, Real Aquino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Santarelli to maneuver through the defense. Real Aquino succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Reggina Calcio had controlled the match.
