Ercole Serantoni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Armando Dorigatti came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Saliceto Buzzalina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Dorigatti couldn't finish the play. The Saliceto Buzzalina FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amos Sergi should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ferruccio Leoni made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Saliceto Buzzalina FC booed when Reggina Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Widberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54thth minute of the game Antonello Onori who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reggina Calcio's Ercole Serantoni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Fabiano Pellicciotta notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Reggina Calcio's Ercole Serantoni. Ercole Serantoni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sven Widberg hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Ferruccio Leoni struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Amos Sergi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reggina Calcio. 84 minutes into the match, Reggina Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Corrado Giancola came free, but Ercole Serantoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
