Adriano Lucidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florian Di Falco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Martini in the 18th minute of play. Arrigo Coccolone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Comunardo Melone made a huge save. In the 32nd minute Beppe Di Fazio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Di Falco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Goalie defense, Beppe Di Fazio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florian Di Falco. The Goalie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florian Di Falco should have stopped the shot. Florian Di Falco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Di Fazio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comunardo Melone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arrigo Coccolone in the 40th minute. Dave Pasquale took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florian Di Falco. Florian Di Falco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After 54 played minutes Budrione got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Lucidi. 56 minutes into the match, Goalie's goalkeeper Florian Di Falco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beppe Di Fazio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Lucidi in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florian Di Falco saved Goalie from getting behind. When Biagio Cattaneo fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Budrione's protests and gave Biagio Cattaneo a yellow card for diving instead. Biagio Cattaneo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Arrigo Coccolone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Comunardo Melone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Beppe Di Fazio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Di Falco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beppe Di Fazio in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Adriano Lucidi took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Florian Di Falco to make any attempt to save it. After 78 played minutes Adriano Lucidi rounded Goalie's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. After 85 played minutes Goalie got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Lozzi. After having played for 86 minutes, Adriano Lucidi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Budrione's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Lucidi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Goalie's goalkeeper Florian Di Falco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beppe Di Fazio. Goalie's Florian Di Falco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Lucidi in the 91st minute of play. Beppe Di Fazio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Di Falco having to interfere. The Budrione supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Budrione would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
