Ermanno Rea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Frasca in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Attilio Schiavoni got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Attilio Schiavoni struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Ermanno Rea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SuperBomber. Attilio Schiavoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Fausto Ferraro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bologna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SuperBomber the free kick. The supporters of SuperBomber booed when Bologna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Ferraro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Alvaro Frasca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ermanno Rea, 1-0. In the 34th minute, Augusto De Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Bologna's goalkeeper Ermanno Rea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvaro Frasca. SuperBomber's Alvaro Frasca got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 39 minutes, Attilio Schiavoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SuperBomber's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Schiavoni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvaro Frasca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermanno Rea having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st minute Carter Polo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermanno Rea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Attilio Schiavoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Improta in the 65th minute of play forced Bologna's goalkeeper Ermanno Rea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 minutes, Emanuele Cagnetta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bologna and the SuperBomber players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuele Cagnetta was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of SuperBomber booed when Bologna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Cagnetta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Bologna defense, Alvaro Frasca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermanno Rea. The Bologna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermanno Rea should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SuperBomber had played much better football throughout.
