Fabio Mandelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Lucas Savenije made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Gonzo Style f.c's Diego Staniscia got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Emanuele Bertoni took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Bussi. Ernesto Bussi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 38 minutes into the match, Emanuele Bertoni notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Lupiae Salento's Ernesto Bussi. Ernesto Bussi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernesto Bussi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio De Matteis went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Lucas Savenije made an important save on a dangerous shot by Comunardo Garofalo in the 46th minute. The Lupiae Salento players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabio Mandelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Bussi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrico Tassotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lupiae Salento's zone, Enrico Tassotti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Bussi came out of the goal and Enrico Tassotti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 74 minutes, Fabio Mandelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lupiae Salento and the Gonzo Style f.c players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Lupiae Salento got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Mandelli. Lupiae Salento's Ernesto Bussi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Lupiae Salento from getting a goal against them. Emanuele Bertoni really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. In the 91st minute, Emanuele Bertoni made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Bussi. Lupiae Salento's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ennio Fino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gonzo Style f.c's supporters rose to their feet, but Ennio Fino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Bussi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
