Davide Gallo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Cristoforo Epifani received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carter Martelli came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristoforo Epifani slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Winning Eleven's Filippo Carozza got a free kick in the 25th minute. Gom Gom FC's Cesare Matteucci got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 minutes, Cristoforo Epifani made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Winning Eleven's Carter Martelli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gom Gom FC's Cesare Vida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Muzzolon in the 35th minute of play. With his leg Carter Martelli managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Gom Gom FC's Cristoforo Epifani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 41 played minutes Winning Eleven got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Muzzolon. Gom Gom FC's Ettore Gabriele suffered a fractured collar bone after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 45 minutes, Donato Arcangeli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Winning Eleven and the Gom Gom FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gom Gom FC's Edoardo Martini was substituted for Ettore Gabriele. The supporters of Gom Gom FC booed when Winning Eleven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Arcangeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carter Martelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristoforo Epifani's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Carter Martelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristoforo Epifani's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute Cristoforo Epifani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Martelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Winning Eleven defense, Cristoforo Epifani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carter Martelli. The Winning Eleven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carter Martelli should have stopped the shot. Gom Gom FC's Cristiano Alessandrini was substituted for Flavio Antognoni. In the 67th minute Cristoforo Epifani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Martelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Cristoforo Epifani notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Winning Eleven's Carter Martelli. Carter Martelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carter Martelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. In the 90thth minute of the game Cristoforo Epifani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Winning Eleven's Carter Martelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Gom Gom FC's Aurelio Santoro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
