Futbol Argentino were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after TAYLOR's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabrizio Ruggieri took the corner. When Felice Corvasce fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Futbol Argentino's protests and gave Felice Corvasce a yellow card for diving instead. Felice Corvasce hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Alberto Colombi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TAYLOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futbol Argentino the free kick. Alfonso Pasinati kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Ferruccio Di Giovanni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Futbol Argentino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrizio Ruggieri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Di Cristofaro in the 29th minute of play forced TAYLOR's goalkeeper Franco De Gregorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabrizio Ruggieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godfredo Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco De Gregorio having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Di Cristofaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco De Gregorio was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Di Cristofaro in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco De Gregorio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Futbol Argentino's Alfonso Pasinati got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beppe Chelodi was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Futbol Argentino getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bernardo Di Cristofaro hit a great ball. Franco De Gregorio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. In the 88th minute, Bernardo Di Cristofaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Fabrizio Ruggieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futbol Argentino's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrizio Ruggieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco De Gregorio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Futbol Argentino's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Di Giovanni came free, but Bayron Mast reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Futbol Argentino left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than TAYLOR.
