Edmondo Melone kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodoro Pombal. Maurito Boselli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Corrado Spitaleri made a huge save. Biagio Cera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Scutti in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Basri Özyurt got a free kick in the 14th minute. Borgo Doria F.C.'s Corrado Spitaleri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Pombal in the 17th minute of play. Ercole Mian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Biagio Cera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Montesacro Utd's Biagio Cera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Mian in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Alberto Scutti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montesacro Utd's Biagio Cera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Alberto Scutti made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Biagio Cera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferdinando Trabucco hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Fabio Bottone notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Montesacro Utd's Biagio Cera. Biagio Cera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Borgo Doria F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Scutti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Corrado Spitaleri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurito Boselli in the 54th minute of the match. After 55 minutes of play Borgo Doria F.C.'s Edmondo Melone was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurito Boselli in the 59th minute of play forced Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Montesacro Utd's goalkeeper Biagio Cera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teodoro Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Borgo Doria F.C. booed when Montesacro Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Biagio Cera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulvio Franco's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Corrado Spitaleri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurito Boselli, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The supporters of Borgo Doria F.C. booed when Montesacro Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Borgo Doria F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Borgo Doria F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
