Comunardo Marsili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Galli in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Urbani in the 17th minute of play forced Trento Calcio 1921's goalkeeper Mutlu Baykam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes Atletico Kankero's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fortunato Gatti who took care of the corner kick. Fortunato Gatti made a great header on Trento Calcio 1921's corner, it was just that Atletico Kankero's Comunardo Marsili managed to reach the ball for a save. 28 minutes into the match, Atletico Kankero's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Galli came free, but Comunardo Marsili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Frank Galli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Comunardo Marsili was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The supporters of Trento Calcio 1921 booed when Atletico Kankero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amos Urbani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Atletico Kankero's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Galli came free, but Comunardo Marsili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Galli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Trento Calcio 1921's Frank Galli quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cristiano De Vincentis, made in the 51st minute of the game. Frank Galli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comunardo Marsili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletico Kankero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fortunato Gatti was slow to take the kick. During this time Trento Calcio 1921's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fortunato Gatti got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Comunardo Marsili quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristiano De Vincentis made in the 57th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Frank Fabiani immediately put the ball in play. Trento Calcio 1921's Mutlu Baykam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Faiella in the 61st minute of play. Comunardo Marsili didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Galli went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Frank Galli scored 4-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Comunardo Marsili, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Galli in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Comunardo Marsili prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Trento Calcio 1921's Mutlu Baykam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Ferri in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Urbani in the 77th minute of play forced Trento Calcio 1921's goalkeeper Mutlu Baykam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Galli scored 5-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Comunardo Marsili, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Trento Calcio 1921 made a substitution. Jaakoppi Kallijärvi replaced Donato Cordone. Atletico Kankero's Ciro Schirru was substituted for Ercole Munno. Mutlu Baykam made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Ernesto Ferri sent off a good shot on target. Comunardo Marsili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaakoppi Kallijärvi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Trento Calcio 1921's Mutlu Baykam got control of the ball when Franco Carrea tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute, Ernesto Ferri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mutlu Baykam was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Trento Calcio 1921 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atletico Kankero had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
