Spectators: 8451 (Terracing: 6339, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bertrán Olguín kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Castelnuovo's goalkeeper Fausto Colangelo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 3 minutes into the game, Vaffancalcio's Kurt Hesse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto Colangelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Sciotto in the 7th minute of play forced Vaffancalcio's goalkeeper Dennis Carrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Prandini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Carrea having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Castelnuovo's goal looked a bit too open when Bertrán Olguín came free, but Fausto Colangelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertrán Olguín took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Colangelo. Fausto Colangelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 22nd minute Vaffancalcio were awarded a corner. Claudio Colucci went to the cornerflag to take it. Bertrán Olguín's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Colangelo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Fausto Colangelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertrán Olguín in the 28th minute of play. Fausto Colangelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertrán Olguín, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Bertrán Olguín ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Colangelo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 36th minute Bertrán Olguín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Colangelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Bertrán Olguín notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Castelnuovo's Fausto Colangelo. Fausto Colangelo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fausto Colangelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertrán Olguín, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 minutes of play, Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Colangelo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Castelnuovo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vaffancalcio were winning 0-5.

Vaffancalcio made a substitution. Ambrosio Xabel replaced Steve Valk. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Prandini to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Castelnuovo's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Di Clemente came free, but Fausto Colangelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Castelnuovo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Antonio Brandolini hit a great ball. Fausto Colangelo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Colucci in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Vaffancalcio got a corner. Castelnuovo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio Colucci ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fausto Colangelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Di Clemente, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Fausto Colangelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Di Clemente in the 74th minute of play. Vaffancalcio's Dennis Carrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Prandini in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Castelnuovo getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Federico Garofalo hit a great ball. Federico Garofalo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Castelnuovo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claudio Colucci was slow to take the kick. During this time Vaffancalcio's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín to a score. 0-6 in the 85th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Di Clemente kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fausto Colangelo. That made the score 0-7 in the 92 minute of play. In the 97th minute, Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. When the final whistle sounded Vaffancalcio left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Castelnuovo.
