After having played for 5 minutes, Armando Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tonginella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Ursini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frans Toussain in the 7th minute of the match. Dan Focșa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedykt Zuraw could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dan Focșa made a huge save. Tonginella's Benedykt Zuraw was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 11th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Frans Toussain sped through Tonginella's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fausto Ursini. Dan Focșa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Paraibano in the 17th minute of play. Dan Focșa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedykt Zuraw in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedykt Zuraw got free with Dan Focșa in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Tonginella's Christian Pasqualone got a free kick in the 41st minute. Pablo Mark kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Frans Toussain took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Ursini. Fausto Ursini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frans Toussain to strike the kick off in the second half. f.c. sKRotone's Dan Focșa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Paraibano in the 53rd minute of play. Fausto Ursini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando De Angelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Dan Focșa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tonginella's Paolo Dybala was substituted for Sang Bango. Dan Focșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Tonginella's goal looked a bit too open when Vennard Sundoro came free, but Fausto Ursini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Virgílio Teves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Focșa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The f.c. sKRotone supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing f.c. sKRotone would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
