An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 13th minute of play forced Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute of the match, Davide Rinaldi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frits Heinel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Herta Budino's Fábio Grosso managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Daniele Iannotti in the 20 minute of the game. Davide Rinaldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frits Heinel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davide Rinaldi ran back to his position shaking his head. Frits Heinel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Rinaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Davide Rinaldi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frits Heinel. Palestra14's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davide Rinaldi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Achille Carrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fortunato Sangermano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davide Rinaldi in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frits Heinel saved Palestra14 from getting behind. Davide Rinaldi had several of the Palestra14's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 31 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Frits Heinel as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 33rd minute Davide Rinaldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Heinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Dino Colucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kleanthis Zoumakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Heinel having to interfere. Daniele Iannotti made in the 41st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dino Colucci immediately put the ball in play. After a rather tough play, Herta Budino's Kleanthis Zoumakis got a free kick in the 47th minute. Dennis Del Vecchio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fortunato Sangermano. Herta Budino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

55 minutes into the match, Palestra14's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Rinaldi came free, but Frits Heinel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frits Heinel came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Herta Budino's Davide Rinaldi. But to his dismay, Davide Rinaldi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Davide Rinaldi hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Herta Budino's Deng Ling Xu was substituted for Harry Potter. Frits Heinel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Rinaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fortunato Sangermano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Carrea, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Fábio Grosso made a great header on Herta Budino's corner, it was just that Palestra14's Frits Heinel managed to reach the ball for a save. Achille Di Crescenzo made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kleanthis Zoumakis. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davide Rinaldi in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frits Heinel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Davide Rinaldi sped through Palestra14's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frits Heinel. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Herta Budino fully deserved thier win.
