With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberigo Di Franco in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dražen Ladić saved AC Morena from getting behind. AC Morena's Dražen Ladić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Fiorentino in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Gana, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, Aquiles Gana made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Rotili. A.S. Udinese's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Alberigo Di Franco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dražen Ladić made a huge save. Aquiles Gana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AC Morena's zone, Alberigo Di Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dražen Ladić came out of the goal and Alberigo Di Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Gana in the 44th minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half AC Morena were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A.S. Udinese's Edmondo Giorda was substituted for Bruno Maranzano. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquiles Gana ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute Aquiles Gana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rotili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Giorda to maneuver through the defense. A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aquiles Gana 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. 96 minutes into the match, Federico Lucente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dražen Ladić. AC Morena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Lucente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AC Morena had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
