Alexander Bottone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Tammaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match A.S. Udinese got a corner. Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedele Panza, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 37 played minutes A.S. Udinese got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Zoccali. In the 38thth minute of the game Ernesto Martini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Hibai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A.S. Udinese's Edmondo Giorda quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elia Di Sipio, made in the 45th minute of the game. When A.S. Udinese's Alexander Bottone in 46 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Cristoforo Tammaro guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Alexander Bottone put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cristoforo Tammaro. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Lunatics of Arianrhod made a substitution. Anthony Genovesi replaced Walter Giusti. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Francesco Romino was substituted for Ernesto Martini. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexander Bottone was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Alexander Bottone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristoforo Tammaro. Lunatics of Arianrhod's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Bottone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. In the 63rd minute Alexander Bottone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elia Di Sipio made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fedele Panza immediately put the ball in play. Dino Pozzoli hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Fedele Panza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Romino couldn't finish the play. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Ercole Fiorentino replaced Alexander Bottone. The supporters of A.S. Udinese booed when Lunatics of Arianrhod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Di Sipio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ercole Fiorentino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Tammaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Francesco Romino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Rotili having to make a save. In the 91st minute Ercole Fiorentino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ercole Fiorentino hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Johan Ström took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvaro Rotili. Alvaro Rotili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. A.S. Udinese had won after a very even match.
