Udinese protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Olivér Bierhoff had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 83 minutes into the game, one of A.S. Udinese:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A.S. Udinese:s Alvaro Rotili showed great skill when he stopped Federico Bianco:s penalty. 85 minutes into the game, FC Aquile Azzurre's Federico Bianco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Rotili made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 88 minutes into the match, Dinç Dede had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Rotili. A.S. Udinese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dinç Dede was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Fiorentino in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Aquile Azzurre's goalkeeper Sabin Pânzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute, Federico Bianco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
