Spectators: 10872 (Terracing: 8155, Seating: 2500, VIP seats: 217) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dinç Dede started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Dinç Dede left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Aquile Azzurre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. AC Morena's Aquiles Gana got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Dinç Dede notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of AC Morena's Dražen Ladić. Dražen Ladić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dražen Ladić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinç Dede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Dinç Dede ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dražen Ladić was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Dražen Ladić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinç Dede in the 21st minute of play. Sabin Pânzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Gana in the 23rd minute of play. Aquiles Gana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute Aquiles Gana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Pânzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AC Morena's Yazid Guinaudeau got a free kick in the 28th minute. Dinç Dede blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dražen Ladić having to make a save. Dražen Ladić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinç Dede in the 31st minute of the match. Dinç Dede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dražen Ladić having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, AC Morena's Aquiles Gana made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sabin Pânzaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquiles Gana was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinç Dede in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dražen Ladić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dražen Ladić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinç Dede in the 55th minute of play. Elia Pasin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabin Pânzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Álvaro Fonseca put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Sabin Pânzaru. FC Aquile Azzurre made a substitution. João Francisco Correia replaced Wu Fei. 73 minutes into the match, FC Aquile Azzurre's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Fonseca came free, but Sabin Pânzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Bianco in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Federico Bianco put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Dražen Ladić. 81 minutes into the game, Cristoforo Labate was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Morena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Aquile Azzurre the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, AC Morena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristoforo Labate to maneuver through the defense. When Aldo Di Biagio fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Morena's protests and gave Aldo Di Biagio a yellow card for diving instead. Sabin Pânzaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Labate in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Carlo Borgatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Aquile Azzurre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Morena the free kick. In the 94th minute, Ercole Carosella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dražen Ladić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Bianco's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Cristoforo Labate struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Sabin Pânzaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Morena. The FC Aquile Azzurre supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Aquile Azzurre would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
