But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Levente Tábori couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, Körösszakál's goalkeeper Rudolf Zentay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Levente Tábori. Szabolcs Kováts's late challenge caught a Kömpöc SE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Szabolcs Kováts helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Körösszakál got a freekick which was hit by Szabolcs Kováts. After having played for 20 minutes, Levente Tábori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kömpöc SE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Levente Tábori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sándor Tóth in the 23rd minute of play forced Kömpöc SE's goalkeeper Szilárd Gácsi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Levente Tábori fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rudolf Zentay, passed just outside the right post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Konstantin Sági to strike the kick off in the second half. Kömpöc SE's Szilárd Gácsi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Sági in the 53rd minute of play. Richárd Soltész charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Csaba Sóti helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Csaba Sóti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Körösszakál's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kömpöc SE had won, even though Körösszakál had held more of the ball.
