The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute György Sári shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vendel Bodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vendel Bodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Sardinis in the 5th minute of play. Frans Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vendel Bodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Árpád Bolla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If György Sári had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Sándor Gyarmathy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vendel Bodor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Csaba Sass in the 19th minute of play forced Üllő SE's goalkeeper Vendel Bodor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Sándor Gyarmathy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vendel Bodor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Frans Vallin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frans Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without József Mezei having to interfere. Vendel Bodor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Árpád Bolla, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the game, Üllő SE's Frans Vallin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. József Mezei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Üllő SE getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Sándor Erős hit a great ball. The Üllő SE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Apagy were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when György Sári stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sándor Gyarmathy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vendel Bodor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Üllő SE's Vendel Bodor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jácint Baló in the 54th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Levente Nyíri during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Levente Nyíri hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 58 minutes of play, Apagy's Árpád Bolla made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vendel Bodor was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the game, Sándor Gyarmathy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Vendel Bodor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vendel Bodor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Csaba Sass in the 66th minute. When Sándor Erős fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Üllő SE's protests and gave Sándor Erős a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Üllő SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sándor Erős to maneuver through the defense. Sándor Erős hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Üllő SE's goal looked a bit too open when Árpád Bolla came free, but Vendel Bodor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Giorgos Sardinis came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Apagy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giorgos Sardinis couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the game, Sándor Gyarmathy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vendel Bodor. Sándor Gyarmathy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Apagy's Bálint Bajner suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Apagy's Péter Titkos was substituted for Bálint Bajner. In a very dangerous position, a player in Üllő SE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! Vendel Bodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sándor Gyarmathy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Sándor Gyarmathy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vendel Bodor, 1-7. The crowd rose to their feet as Apagy's Péter Titkos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vendel Bodor. That made the score 1-8 after 95 minutes of play. Vendel Bodor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Árpád Bolla, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The Üllő SE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Apagy's performance. The match ended with a win for Apagy.
