Norbert Gerő hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Zsolt Páncsics might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihály Kiss. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zsolt Páncsics ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Teofilo Mundo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mihály Kiss to make any attempt to save it. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apaj's goalkeeper Mihály Kiss, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Massoud Osterholt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihály Kiss was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Teofilo Mundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihály Kiss read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Apaj's Mihály Kiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcell Gaál in the 40th minute of play. Teofilo Mundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Mihály Kiss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Teofilo Mundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lecia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Mundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Mundo to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Teofilo Mundo sped through Apaj's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mihály Kiss. Mihály Kiss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Mundo in the 57th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Apaj's zone, Teofilo Mundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihály Kiss came out of the goal and Teofilo Mundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihály Kiss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcell Gaál went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Teofilo Mundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apaj's goalkeeper Mihály Kiss, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Róbert Vásárhelyi's late challenge caught a Lecia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Róbert Vásárhelyi helped the player get up and apologised. Róbert Vásárhelyi hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teofilo Mundo in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihály Kiss prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bálint Rahner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Tibor Ballai made a huge save. Tibor Ballai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tihamér Sinkó in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute Marcell Gaál shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihály Kiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihály Kiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Mundo in the 82nd minute of play. Teofilo Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihály Kiss having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Tibor Vágner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lecia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tibor Vágner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihály Kiss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Teofilo Mundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihály Kiss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teofilo Mundo's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Mihály Kiss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcell Gaál in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Lecia FC were the better team. Lecia FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
