Hugó Kis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without László Keserű having to interfere. Hugó Kis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Róbert Héj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Károly Lányi was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Szeged SE's Károly Lányi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Héj in the 17th minute of play. If Krisztián Túri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. László Keserű didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szeged SE. 39 minutes into the game, Szeged SE's Hugó Kis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. László Keserű made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Krisztián Túri took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Károly Lányi. Károly Lányi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miklós Simon couldn't finish the play. László Keserű made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugó Kis in the 58th minute of play. László Keserű took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Tulipán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Kistokaj's Krisztián Túri in the 70th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Károly Lányi was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Szeged SE through an amazing save. When Hugó Kis came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Szeged SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugó Kis couldn't finish the play. Szeged SE's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
