Bulcsú Novák received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. György Udvarhelyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Viktor Bålström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Újpest 1885 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Bålström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Ştercă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Soma Lukács fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szalatnak VSC's protests and gave Soma Lukács a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Szalatnak VSC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soma Lukács to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Újpest 1885 FC's Dániel Simkó got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emil Szabó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dániel Simkó in the 60th minute of play. Szalatnak VSC's Emil Szabó proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Szalatnak VSC from getting a goal against them. Viktor Bålström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Emil Szabó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Márk Kerekes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viktor Bålström in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Szabó prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viktor Bålström in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Szabó saved Szalatnak VSC from getting behind. If Viktor Bålström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 90 played minutes Szalatnak VSC got a freekick which was hit by Márk Kerekes. Márk Kerekes hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Bulcsú Novák's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but György Udvarhelyi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over Újpest 1885 FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Szalatnak VSC throughout the match.
