The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Attila Bognár received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ferenc Bíró tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Attila Bognár sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37thth minute of the game Lázár Medve who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balatoni KHSC's Ferenc Bíró was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ferenc Bíró showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attila Bognár in the 38th minute of the match. Tamás Szokolai charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tamás Szokolai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Balatoni KHSC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tamás Szokolai hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Balatoni KHSC's goal looked a bit too open when Lázár Medve came free, but Ferenc Bíró reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Lázár Medve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Debreceni Sportiskola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lázár Medve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Attila Bognár could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Ferenc Bíró made a huge save. Zsigmond Polgár recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lázár Medve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Zsigmond Polgár managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balatoni KHSC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zsigmond Polgár was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nándor Kovács breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferenc Bíró showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázár Medve, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ferenc Bíró showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázár Medve in the 86th minute of the match. The Debreceni Sportiskola supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Debreceni Sportiskola would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
