Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell László Lipták to make the kick off. Faláb SE's Ottó Keserű played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by László Lipták in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that László Lipták's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ottó Keserű was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 84th minute, László Lipták got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Szilveszter Hidegkúti fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Faláb SE's protests and gave Szilveszter Hidegkúti a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Faláb SE getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Szilveszter Hidegkúti hit a great ball. Zoltán Balogh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ottó Keserű having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
