Dávid Csizmadia started the match with the kick off. Roland Pálffy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márk Kocsis, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the match, Velény's goalkeeper Jónás Kurucz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Illés Vörös. The audience thought a goal was coming when Illés Vörös got free with Jónás Kurucz in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jónás Kurucz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Károly Pál-Szabó in the 9th minute of play. Jónás Kurucz was a little too slow when Attila Szőlősi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. Attila Szőlősi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Illés Vörös managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kánya's supporters rose to their feet, but Illés Vörös was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jónás Kurucz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Illés Vörös came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Kánya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Illés Vörös couldn't finish the play. Dávid Csizmadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Pálffy having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Velény was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flórián Somlyai to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the game, Krisztián Pálinkás was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kánya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velény the free kick. In the 36th minute, Krisztián Pálinkás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Velény's zone, Illés Vörös stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jónás Kurucz came out of the goal and Illés Vörös tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Illés Vörös fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Krisztián Pálinkás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Velény's Jónás Kurucz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Velény from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Velény:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kánya:s goal. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Kánya. Attila Szőlősi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jónás Kurucz. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Károly Pál-Szabó made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Kánya's Attila Szőlősi made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jónás Kurucz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velény's goalkeeper Jónás Kurucz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Illés Vörös had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Márk Kocsis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roland Pálffy was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Márk Kocsis got free with Roland Pálffy in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Velény's Jónás Kurucz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Illés Vörös in the 76th minute of play. Roland Pálffy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Dankó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Attila Szőlősi notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Velény's Jónás Kurucz. Jónás Kurucz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, Illés Vörös had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jónás Kurucz. Velény's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Illés Vörös was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Kánya's Roland Pálffy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Kánya from getting a goal against them. Roland Pálffy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Dankó in the 93rd minute of play.
