Kötegyán's Attila Fazekas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Kötegyán from getting a goal against them. Márk Révész blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Attila Fazekas having to make a save. If Adrián Tóth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gergely Kónya might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zalán Kozák. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gergely Kónya ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Gödöllő getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Flórián Fábián hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Gergely Kónya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zalán Kozák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gergely Kónya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zalán Kozák stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrián Tóth's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrián Tóth to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Levente Pető in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Attila Fazekas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gergely Kónya received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zalán Kozák came out and tried to block the shot, but Gergely Kónya slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Kötegyán's goal looked a bit too open when Levente Pető came free, but Attila Fazekas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kötegyán's Attila Fazekas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márk Révész in the 66th minute of play. Levente Pető received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Attila Fazekas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gödöllő booed when Kötegyán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aladár Lőrinc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gödöllő's Márk Révész got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Kötegyán's goal looked a bit too open when Levente Pető came free, but Attila Fazekas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Aladár Lőrinc fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kötegyán's protests and gave Aladár Lőrinc a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th match minute, Kötegyán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aladár Lőrinc to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Gödöllő's Zalán Kozák got control of the ball when Gergely Kónya tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kötegyán! Aladár Lőrinc hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Gödöllő's Levente Pető got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
