Bánk Dala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lóránd Koós having to interfere. Sporting Vasszentmihály's Lóránd Koós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Vásárhelyi in the 9th minute of play. Jeromos Császár made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viktor Zádori in the 11th minute. Bánk Dala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Lóránd Koós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Diósgyőri FC's zone, Kristóf Angyal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeromos Császár came out of the goal and Kristóf Angyal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Kristóf Angyal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diósgyőri FC's Jeromos Császár was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kristóf Angyal struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jeromos Császár didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Vasszentmihály. György Grósz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Viktor Zádori could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Jeromos Császár made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bánk Dala in the 41st minute of play forced Sporting Vasszentmihály's goalkeeper Lóránd Koós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Bánk Dala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diósgyőri FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bánk Dala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Patrik Gyenes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Rafael Vásárhelyi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Vásárhelyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lóránd Koós having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bánk Dala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Diósgyőri FC got a freekick which was hit by Bánk Dala. When Viktor Zádori came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Sporting Vasszentmihály fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Zádori couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Kristóf Angyal made a precise shot to the right of Jeromos Császár. Diósgyőri FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 75 played minutes Sporting Vasszentmihály got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Gyenes. In the 76th minute Bánk Dala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lóránd Koós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diósgyőri FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Márton Grósz in the 80th minute. The corner led Diósgyőri FC's Norbert Szepes to fire away a dangerous shot which Lóránd Koós despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rafael Vásárhelyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lóránd Koós having to interfere. Viktor Zádori charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viktor Zádori the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sporting Vasszentmihály's Viktor Zádori got a free kick in the 91st minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sporting Vasszentmihály fans cheered their team off the field, for while Diósgyőri FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
