Békásmegyer FC's Norbert Pusztai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by György Gombos in the 9th minute of play. Norbert Pusztai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krisztián Matolcsy, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Krisztián Matolcsy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norbert Pusztai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Szabolcs Bánhegyi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ferenc Somlyai made a huge save. Szabolcs Bánhegyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lóránt Erdei got free with Ferenc Somlyai in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Márk Sándor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ferenc Somlyai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Szabolcs Bánhegyi in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferenc Somlyai saved Egerbakta from getting behind. Krisztián Matolcsy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kálmán Véber kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Norbert Pusztai made an important save on a dangerous shot by György Gombos in the 71st minute. The corner led Egerbakta's Ákos Selymes to fire away a dangerous shot which Norbert Pusztai despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szabolcs Bánhegyi in the 79th minute of play forced Egerbakta's goalkeeper Ferenc Somlyai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Egerbakta's goal looked a bit too open when József Sándor came free, but Ferenc Somlyai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferenc Somlyai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
