An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Bratoloveanu in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Baia Mare's goalkeeper Mitch Maes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ottó Czakó hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. József Zádori charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed József Zádori the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Baia Mare's József Zádori got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 19th match minute, FC Baia Mare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by József Zádori to maneuver through the defense. Andrew Robertson scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mitch Maes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, FC Baia Mare's goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Bratoloveanu came free, but Mitch Maes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Sabin Bratoloveanu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Sabin Bratoloveanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mitch Maes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zénó Sárközi in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boldizsár Vas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Baia Mare's Mitch Maes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save FC Baia Mare from getting a goal against them. Sámuel Szűcs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Sámuel Szűcs came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the FC Baia Mare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sámuel Szűcs couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 61 in the game by Sabin Bratoloveanu from a close distance when the talented Mitch Maes managed to make a qualified save. FC Baia Mare's players were relieved. Boldizsár Vas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zénó Sárközi in the 64th minute of the match. Boldizsár Vas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sámuel Szűcs in the 72nd minute of play. Mitch Maes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Bratoloveanu in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Baia Mare's Dávid Bögi got a free kick in the 87th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ottó Czakó during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes FC Baia Mare got a freekick which was hit by Ottó Czakó. István Holló's late challenge caught a FC Baia Mare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. István Holló helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Zalaszántó got a freekick which was hit by István Holló. Sámuel Szűcs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boldizsár Vas having to interfere. Mitch Maes was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Sabin Bratoloveanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sabin Bratoloveanu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Zalaszántó's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
