Szaporca LC's Antal Kalmár played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertold Kántor in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Újfalussy in the 45th minute of play forced Szaporca LC's goalkeeper Antal Kalmár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 66th minute of the match, Bertold Kántor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antal Kalmár saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Szaporca LC's Antal Kalmár proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Szaporca LC from getting a goal against them. In the 68th match minute, Szaporca LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ákos Jósa to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szaporca LC's goalkeeper Antal Kalmár, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Lajos Takács fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
