A collision led to Zipfers getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Péter Kásás hit a great ball. Sámuel Szűcs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Roland Kántor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zénó Sárközi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 26 played minutes FC Baia Mare got a freekick which was hit by Sándor Pusztai. A hard shot by Lajos Győrffy from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Mitch Maes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gyula Borsos in the 29th minute of play forced FC Baia Mare's goalkeeper Mitch Maes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sámuel Szűcs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st match minute, FC Baia Mare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by József Zádori to maneuver through the defense. Mitch Maes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gyula Borsos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Baia Mare's Sámuel Szűcs got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Zénó Sárközi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Zipfers's Roland Kántor. Roland Kántor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sámuel Szűcs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roland Kántor having to make a save. If Zénó Sárközi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sámuel Szűcs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gyula Borsos made a kick off. Zénó Sárközi in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roland Kántor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sámuel Szűcs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Kántor having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Baia Mare's Dávid Bögi got a free kick in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gyula Borsos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zipfers's supporters rose to their feet, but Gyula Borsos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitch Maes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ákos Szepes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Zipfers's Gyula Borsos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mitch Maes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match Bulcsú Szakály sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roland Kántor skillfully saved the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Álmos Berecz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zipfers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Baia Mare the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Zipfers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álmos Berecz to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Baia Mare's Sámuel Szűcs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roland Kántor. That made the score 0-4 after 73 minutes of play. Álmos Berecz was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After recieving a nice pass, Zipfers's Lajos Győrffy tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
