Spectators: 7400 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 50) Komlóska's Tamás Nagy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Komlóska getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 14thth minute of the game Okan Buyruk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Komlóska's Renátó Katona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Bálint Döbrögi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. University of West's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bálint Döbrögi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferenc Fodor was shown his second yellow card after 17 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 18th minute, Ferenc Fodor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renátó Katona came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by University of West's Bálint Döbrögi. But to his dismay, Bálint Döbrögi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 29th minute Okan Buyruk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renátó Katona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bálint Döbrögi in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renátó Katona saved Komlóska from getting behind. Szilárd Pálosi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Renátó Katona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bálint Döbrögi in the 34th minute of play. Renátó Katona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bálint Döbrögi in the 37th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Okan Buyruk in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renátó Katona saved Komlóska from getting behind. Renátó Katona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okan Buyruk, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Bálint Döbrögi managed to get in a good position for a shot. University of West's supporters rose to their feet, but Bálint Döbrögi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renátó Katona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, István Bencsik notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Komlóska's Renátó Katona. Renátó Katona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Okan Buyruk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Okan Buyruk struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Renátó Katona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for University of West. University of West's Pál Lovász played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balázs Bagi in the 58th minute of play. When Gedeon Makai fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Komlóska's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave University of West the free kick.
