The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 11 minutes, Márió Sinkovits managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szolnok FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márió Sinkovits was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ákos Horváth's late challenge caught a Szolnok FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ákos Horváth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ákos Horváth to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Szolnok FC's goal looked a bit too open when János Szepes came free, but Mózes Víg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Hungary's Ákos Horváth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mózes Víg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márton Pető in the 25th minute of play forced Szolnok FC's goalkeeper Mózes Víg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Pál Páncsics hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Szolnok FC's Márió Sinkovits slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Béla Pintér. That made the score 2-1 after 30 minutes of play. János Szepes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mózes Víg having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Szolnok FC's goal looked a bit too open when János Szepes came free, but Mózes Víg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Márton Pető to make the kick off. After 56 minutes of play Hungary's Ákos Horváth was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ákos Horváth kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, István Sipos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szolnok FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but István Sipos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Márió Sinkovits received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Béla Pintér tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hungary's Pál Páncsics managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Máté Láng in the 64 minute of the game. In the 67th minute, Márió Sinkovits ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Béla Pintér was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Béla Pintér showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márió Sinkovits in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Szolnok FC were awarded a corner. Jakab Benczur went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Roland Koós heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Márton Pető sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Béla Pintér came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Szolnok FC's Aurél Makkai. But to his dismay, Aurél Makkai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After a rather tough play, Szolnok FC's Roland Koós got a free kick in the 89th minute. The Szolnok FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
