He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Béla Pintér. Ferdinánd Gáspár kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Imre Kollár could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Béla Pintér however easily saved by the left post. Bánk Petres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Béla Pintér having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Levente Szalontai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bátya TC and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bátya TC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Levente Szalontai hit a great ball. Mátyás Rácz's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mátyás Rácz helped the player get up and apologised. Mátyás Rácz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Ferdinánd Gáspár was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Imre Kollár to make the kick off. When Mátyás Rácz came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Bátya TC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mátyás Rácz couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes Bátya TC got a freekick which was hit by Róbert Szabados. In the 64th minute, Imre Kollár ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Béla Pintér was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Béla Pintér showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Imre Kollár, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Levente Szalontai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 70 minutes, Imre Kollár managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bátya TC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Imre Kollár was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 72nd minute of the match Levente Szalontai completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Levente Szalontai a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Levente Szalontai hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Bánk Petres hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hungary booed when Bátya TC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bánk Petres didn't get a good kick on the ball. János Szepesi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márton Pető in the 82nd minute of the match. Emil Balla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Béla Pintér made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bánk Petres in the 89th minute of play. János Szepesi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Márton Pető went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Hungary's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
