Veresegyház VSK's Roland Pécsi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ádám Segesváry in the 8th minute of play. When István Gácsi came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Veresegyház VSK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that István Gácsi couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Tamás Horváth made a precise shot to the right of Álmos Kiss. Szamosújlak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Roland Pécsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Béla Kis, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 26 played minutes Veresegyház VSK got a freekick which was hit by Milán Hegyi. In the 29th minute László Mátrai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Pécsi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Veresegyház VSK booed when Szamosújlak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milán Dárdai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Veresegyház VSK's Dániel Cziráki got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ádám Szűrös's late challenge caught a Veresegyház VSK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ádám Szűrös helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 played minutes Szamosújlak got a freekick which was hit by Ádám Szűrös. Gergely Csonka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 minutes of play, Szamosújlak's László Mátrai made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roland Pécsi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, István Gácsi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veresegyház VSK's supporters rose to their feet, but István Gácsi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álmos Kiss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 42nd minute of the match Ádám Szűrös completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ádám Szűrös a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Szamosújlak's Ádám Szűrös got a free kick in the 42nd minute. István Gácsi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Dániel Cziráki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Veresegyház VSK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szamosújlak the free kick. After a rather tough play, Veresegyház VSK's Dániel Cziráki got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gergely Csonka was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, László Mátrai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szamosújlak's supporters rose to their feet, but László Mátrai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Pécsi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. István Gácsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ádám Segesváry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Roland Pécsi made a huge save. Roland Pécsi made an important save on a dangerous shot by László Mátrai in the 65th minute. Szamosújlak's Béla Kis got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 68 minutes, Gergely Csonka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Veresegyház VSK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gergely Csonka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. László Mátrai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Dániel Cziráki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Álmos Kiss was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After having played for 78 minutes, Béla Kis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szamosújlak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Béla Kis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute of the match, Ádám Segesváry got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roland Pécsi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 88th match minute, Veresegyház VSK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by András Kocsis to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
