An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Bálint in the 11th minute of play forced Madrid's goalkeeper Mihály Bencik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihály Bencik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Bálint, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A collision led to Nagyatád getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. István Bakos hit a great ball. After 25 minutes of play, Nagyatád's Viktor Bálint made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihály Bencik was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the match, Madrid's Márton Benkó sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilmos Simkó narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Madrid's Mihály Bencik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Bálint in the 30th minute of play. Mihály Bertha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vilmos Simkó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viktor Bálint blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihály Bencik having to make a save. Mihály Bencik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viktor Bálint went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Lajos Buzánszki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Vilmos Simkó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Bálint came free, but Mihály Bencik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dömötör Grósz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilmos Simkó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márton Benkó, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Lajos Buzánszki's late challenge caught a Nagyatád's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lajos Buzánszki helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nagyatád booed when Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lajos Buzánszki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viktor Bálint was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Madrid fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sándor Gerő during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Sándor Gerő. In the 59th play minute Viktor Bálint came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mihály Bencik. 0-3. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nagyatád's goalkeeper Vilmos Simkó, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mihály Bencik made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Viktor Bálint sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the game, Madrid's Márton Benkó nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vilmos Simkó made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Madrid's zone, Viktor Bálint stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihály Bencik came out of the goal and Viktor Bálint tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Viktor Bálint could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Mihály Bencik however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Viktor Bálint managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nagyatád's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Bálint was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihály Bencik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viktor Bálint recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihály Bencik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tihamér Takács in the 76th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Dömötör came free, but Mihály Bencik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Viktor Bálint managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nagyatád's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Bálint was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Norbert Dömötör took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Mihály Bencik to make any attempt to save it.
