The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Szilárd Pálffy sped through Madrid's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mihály Bencik. After 14 minutes, Balázs Sarkady mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Madrid and the Nagykölked Spartacus players grew even worse after the yellow card. Balázs Sarkady kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. László Sinkovits's late challenge caught a Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. László Sinkovits helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Madrid booed when Nagykölked Spartacus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. László Sinkovits didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihály Bencik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoltán Havass, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Szilárd Pálffy scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mihály Bencik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szilárd Pálffy in the 23rd minute of play forced Madrid's goalkeeper Mihály Bencik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Nagykölked Spartacus's Szilárd Pálffy got a free kick in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Tibor Bósa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Mihály Bencik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the match, Szilárd Pálffy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihály Bencik. Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Szilárd Pálffy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szilárd Pálffy in the 36th minute of play forced Madrid's goalkeeper Mihály Bencik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Szilárd Pálffy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Mihály Bencik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mihály Bencik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from László Paál, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 minutes of play, Nagykölked Spartacus's Szilárd Pálffy made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihály Bencik was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Nagykölked Spartacus were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Márton Benkó to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Szilárd Pálffy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mihály Bencik. The goal made the score 0-9. In the 58th minute Zoltán Havass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihály Bencik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lajos Buzánszki struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. István Orbán didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madrid. When Mihály Bertha came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihály Bertha couldn't finish the play. Madrid's Mihály Bencik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máté Csáki in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Madrid's goalkeeper Mihály Bencik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by László Paál. 79 minutes into the game, Nagykölked Spartacus's Szilárd Pálffy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihály Bencik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-11. In the 84th minute, Márton Benkó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Szilárd Pálffy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihály Bencik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when László Paál got free with Mihály Bencik in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nagykölked Spartacus's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
